It depends on volume, access, ground type and whether rock or spoil removal is involved. You get a clear quote after a site assessment covering the dig, cartage and cleanup, with any rock priced separately so there are no surprises.
Yes. Dial Before You Dig is standard, with detection and hand exposure where needed, so services are found before any machine work starts.
Yes. Where standard excavation stops, rock is removed with saws, breakers or attachments matched to the material. Rock adds time, and you'll be told if it's likely at quoting.
Yes. Mini and compact excavators reach narrow side setbacks, backyards and sloped sites that larger machines can't.
Yes. Excess soil, clay and fill are loaded out and removed, with the site left clean. Tipping is set out in the quote.
A single trench or small dig can be a day; a full site cut or basement runs longer. You get a timeline with the quote.
We plan access before the machine arrives and protect surfaces where needed. Anything that has to be moved to get in, we talk through with you first, and we tidy up before we leave.
That's exactly why we assess the ground before quoting. When rock's likely, it's accounted for from the start, so you're not hit with a surprise variation halfway through.
Some jobs do (certain retaining, drainage or work near boundaries), some don't. We'll flag anything we can see during the quote so you're not caught out.
